Cabin, Snow & Two Happy Dogs
A ski weekend upstate with land to run, snow to zoom through, and a couch to claim as their own.

We planned this trip for the skiing. Beso and Bailey made it about the snow.
We rented an Airbnb upstate — a stunning log cabin with high ceilings, exposed beams, and more land than these two city dogs have ever seen in their lives. The second we opened the door and let them out back, it was over. They sprinted, they skidded, they burrowed their little noses straight into the powder like it personally owed them something. Pure, unhinged joy.
The cabin itself was the kind of place that makes you want to cancel all your plans and never leave. Cozy vibes, warm wood everywhere, a big stone fireplace, and a sectional couch the girls immediately claimed as their own. They were on the furniture within the first five minutes. We regret nothing.
We did eventually make it to the mountain (the whole point of the trip), but honestly? The highlight reel belongs to them. Two fluffy Bernedoodles in matching pink puffer jackets, zipping across a snowy yard like they were born for it. Bailey was a natural. Beso was chaotic. Both were perfect.
If you're a dog parent who skis, the move is exactly this: find a cabin with land, pack the coats, and let your girls run. You can ski all weekend and give them the kind of adventure they'll be dreaming about for weeks.
10/10, already looking at dates for next winter. 🐾❄️
