Checking In: A Dog-Friendly Stay at 21c Museum Hotel Chicago
We’re always on the lookout for hotels that actually welcome dogs—not just tolerate them—and the 21c Museum Hotel in Chicago more than delivered.
From the moment we walked in (okay, trotted in), the staff was warm, the room was spotless, and the vibe? Chic, artful, and totally pet-inclusive. Located in the heart of River North, this boutique hotel doubles as a contemporary art museum, with rotating exhibits that make every hallway feel like a gallery stroll.
And yes—dogs stay for free.
The room was spacious, the bed was perfectly nap-worthy (see photo evidence), and we had plenty of space to sprawl out between adventures. No hidden pet fees, no weird restrictions—just a genuinely dog-welcoming environment in one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Chicago.
Bonus: The 21c brand is known for integrating art into their hotel experiences, and most locations are just as dog-friendly as the one in Chicago. It’s part boutique hotel, part gallery, and all good vibes—for humans and hounds alike.
If you’re planning a trip with your pup and want somewhere stylish, central, and actually pet-welcoming, 21c should be on your list. We’ll definitely be back.
