Two Years of Beso!
Snow, steak, and simple joys

We had grand plans for this year’s celebration – a little gathering with some of Beso's four-legged friends, maybe a few extra treats, and definitely a cake. But Mother Nature (and actual mother) had other ideas.
The week of her birthday rolled in with a full-on snowstorm. The mayor encouraged everyone to stay home, so her little friends couldn't come over. Then, Mom came down with a nasty case of the flu. So instead of party hats and playdates, we found ourselves in cozy-at-home mode.
Luckily, Beso is not a diva about her celebrations. She’s more of a “love me, feed me, play with me kind of girl.
So we pivoted.
If we couldn’t throw her the birthday bash she deserved, we could at least make sure she had a fancy meal. She had a lush piece of steak with a side of rice and veggies. Because nothing says “Happy Birthday” like your very own gourmet spread.
There’s something sweet about celebrating quietly. No party – just a cozy apartment and a happy dog.
Beso didn’t seem to mind one bit that her friends couldn’t make it. As far as she was concerned, she got steak, extra cuddles, and uninterrupted quality time with her humans. That’s a win in any dog’s book.
Next year we’ll try again for a puppy soirée. But for now, we’ll remember this as the year of the Blizzard Birthday – simple, snug, and full of love.
Happy 2nd Birthday to our sweet, goofy, always-cheerful girl. We promise to make it up to you… once the sidewalks thaw and Mom can breathe through her nose again.
Until then, leftovers and belly rubs all around.
